My answer to that is... It is GREAT to be a youth in Singapore!!!
Look at this --- "I am @ YOUTH.SG"! It must be cool to send in our blog entries and wait to win a BRAND NEW CAMERA!!! Woohoo~ Great competition concept! No way am i going to miss this chance! (picture below)

Well, im just a simple girl, currenlty in jc2. Was reading through the e-messages on our sch's website and it happened to be advertising this competition. Of course, being practical and pragmatic (=kiasu) Singaporeans, I really want a part in this. For easy reading, I have deided to condense my views to point form.

Why join i am @ YOUTH.SG?

To join in the fun and test the "influence" of my posts in this new and engaging competition. (Honestly, i've never heard of such competitions before. Im still pretty amazed as to the amount of work that needs to be done to manage such a competiton =S)
Share my views with fellow bloggers. ( Enjoyed reading the entries by other bloggers who have taken part in this competition! ^^)
Needless to say, im ATTRACTED to the reward!!! I must confess, this is indeed a great incentive for me to send in my posts! =p
Lastly, to all bloggers who are reading this.. (and to those who have experienced Project Work), don't you think such a competition is truly meaningful for the youths to get down to blog and share relevant issues and ideas. Thus, we should ALL TAKE PART to maintain such a positive momentum (PW Favourite Topic for 2006)! Look at it this way. If the response is poor, it will be hard to continue with this= less venue where we can get to view quality blogs and meet fellow blogging enthusiasts!

What does it really mean to be a youth in Singapore?

You get quality education no matter which school you end up in.
You get to meet other youths in school, at tution centres, during CIP projects etc. ---> More friends!!! =D
You get to enjoy the facilities that are provided for us eg Basketball courts.
You get to order STUDENTS MEAL at Mcdonalds and Burger King! (Plus, you don't have to feel awkward when ordering the kids meal as those taking orders from you are often older than us. Oops. At least that's what i think.)
Youth park_ Just for us. Ever wondered where's the adult park? Fret not, its not too late to start playing there! Lol...
You don't have to worry about earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. (though you do have to be prepared of nervous breakdowns that often results in internal earthquakes during exams)
You can stay out shopping all night without having to care about the time and the security. At most, sleep over at bus interchange when you miss the very last bus of the night.
No plastic surgeries! In Singapore, everyone willl be judged by their performance and not looks--- MERITOCRACY (WOW)
You can get instant access to the internet at practically everywhere! Cool! (that means bloggers can blog at any place!)
You get to take part in so many competitions organised for youths such as Citibank-YMCA Youth for Causes and I am @ YOUTH.SG. What's more, you stand a chance to win a digital camera!

What more can you ask for than to be a youth in Singapore?

Well, here i am blogging on xmas day itself! Anyway, just came back from malaysia and i went to rebond my hair again! this is my third rebonding! ( can you imagine how unhealthy my hair is right now?)
alright. there's Nothing surprising, just as bad as previous years! I don't really like to rebond my hair as it makes my head look really flat. Yet, there's not really much of a choice as my natural waves are getting out of control!

I was just chatting with xq (from nj choir) and zk (from hc choir) ... (*remain anonymous*)
It made me really feel that what im doing is right. Why do i have to make friends with guys on the basis that i want to be their girlfriend? I believe that boy-girl-as best friends (platonic r/s) do exist and i will get really irritated if some other guy just spring up to me and tell me straight in the face not to waste time of the guys who are always talking to me, by making them wait for me and accept them as my boyfriend. Seriously, this makes no sense at all! Of course, i know some people were saying that im very picky and im playing hard to get, IM NOT OK. The most impt thing is that i would rather stay as friends with the current good guy friends that i have. i would love to tresure the friedship that we have now and i dun want it to change.
Please dun try to rush me into a r/s when im not even ready for it. This will only turn out bad...
Anyway, to the guy who thought that i just wanna remain single so that i can flirt around, you are seriously wrong. It's because i take r/s too seriously such that it will be scary if i even get started...

Well, hamdu WAS the baby with defect. At first, its left eye was always closed. We were really worried. In the end, i checked some website and it said that it might not be a birth defect.. that means, it only occurred after birth.
Then, we dropped saline solution on its left eye and hamdu gradually opened its left eye! What a miracle! Anyway, hamdu is the only baby that we have kept cos we wanted to take care of it...

While my heart was broken by a classmate, it was fixed by a school mate... It made me realise how nice he was.. Telling me not to cry on the car and consoling me through sms-es when he was dropped off by my mum at the hostel.

While i was quite disappointed by guys (mainly jerks), he gave me some hope... Yet, im not really sure how i really feel. Somehow, i hate the terms boyfriends and girlfriends.. It seems extra and superficial. Dun see any point to go into such stuff...

Anyway, there used to be this guy i really liked cos we share the same interest. Somehow, as we go to different junior colleges that are of totally different environment, we are drifting apart as days passed.

Then there is this nice guy.. We have actually met for years.. He keeps meassaging me and i never bother to reply. I thought it was quite clear that i dun like him but as you know, guys tend to get the wrong idea..

As kiahui knows, there comes guy no. 3.. Making me jittery whenever i receive his sms-es.. (I cant talk that much abt him cos it concerns the school..)

At this point of time, i can feel my heart bleeding. My eyes red from crying... There goes the innocent and happy days in secondary school.. How i miss scgs.. If you are a primary six kid and you happened to read this, please do ot hesitate to place SCGS as your first choice.. Then again, you have to be a gal before you can get in to this sch.. (lame)

Well, i dun like to intrude into other pple's affairs and yet there are people trying to get into mine. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THEM? I feel so seriously hurt and back stabbed.. He is such a JERK! BTW, he didnt even apologise to me... But its ok la.. At least i know why the gal he crazily likes in his jap class doesnt like him. He deserves this kinda treatment from her.

No matter what, i just wanna carry on with PW with that jerk and my other grp members! I just hope to get the basic understanding from my friends and stop trying to create more things for me to get worried about as i already have loads of things bugging me.

How i wish life is as simple as before.. All i can say is,

Aren't students supposed to relax after the stressful promos? I don't understand why we have to go for post promo activties.. Especially getting back of papers.. How I hope the school can just burn my paper or somehow let it fly away.. Don't wanna get back my papers! All I wanna do is to de-stress and go shopping, swimming etc! Anything will be NICE just not getting back my lousy papers..

OH Man.. I have like $100 shopping vouchers from Isetan and $200 shopping vouchers from IMM! Didnt even have the chance to use them! What a waste!

Im gonna talk about my hamster. Actually, its not really my hamster but my neighbour's hamster ya.. They passed it to my mum to take care of cos they will be going back to taiwan! I think they have such good taste cos the hamster is really cute! It is slightly brownish in color.. Then it always looks super cute n cuddly! Anyway, the first name that i got for it is hammie. Then my friend suggested hamlet! So there it is! HAMLET!
Sigh.. when i was out yesterday, my neighbours came over and collected the hamster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh man.. Didnt even had a chance to say goodbye to hamlet! =(

Yesterday, was busy yet fun! =) .. Firstly, i went over to rj for a talk on 金庸's 雪山飞狐！Not bad.. It was quite enriching! Ilike 希尼尔 best cos he really shows the most understanding of this novel! I love the stuff he talks about in his powerpoint slides but due to time constraints, he couldnt finish explaining all his points! It's such a waste!

Then, after the talk, i walked over with kiahui n gorgor to bishan junction 8! Haha.. It is quite cool cos i saw 2 of my friends from sc! I think they went back to shool for cca ya! *grins* What a pleasant surprise! Well, then i met axl! Haha.. We started wlking around to get stuff for our juniors from ch n nanyang. In the end, he bought dove chocs for the performers.. Hope it gets to them though cos we passed it to the teacher in charge! Lol..

Well, i took a long time during lunch finishing my 鱼片米粉！So, we were late for the performance.. I feel so bad but i was really full cos i already had "semi-lunch" at rj! Sigh.. Talking about lunch, i realised that i have a kinda addiction to fish! I cant live without it! Especially salmon! So nice and healthy! =p

Anyway, i think the drama performance by ch n nanyang is nice! The first story was hilarious (though expected) , the second one was quite creative and interesting and the last one was ultra cool cos of the lighting! Haha.. Hope this will help me with my group's script! I think the performers are really zai! Their chinese is so good and they can really act! Yay! Really proud to have juniors like them. (Disclaimer: I term them as juniors cos we are indirectly linked through chinese society!) By the way, I must seriously thank axl for treating me to the show and the cup of ice lemon tea! Haha.. =) (He is cutting his hair now.. Hope it turns out well!)

After watching the performance, we took a bus to kap and had dinner there. So, my day was practically non-stop EATING! Saya tabuleh tahan!!! Im going to get even fatter! =( Well, axl suggested that we should walk around after eating cos i suppose he is quite full too! Good idea! So we went to bt timah plaza n browsed through some storybooks at popular! (I like the winnie e pooh storybooks! Of course, i was generally looking at pictures of piglet! in any case, if you are wondering why i like piglet.. It is a rather bimbotic reason.. err... *clears my throat* Cos its PINK!!! ) Hehee.. Told ya, i love anything that is pink! --- Reached home at around 8.40pm.

Then, My friend messaged me and told me to go online.. So, i went online and zk started talking to me.. Oh well, something happened that is not really appropriate for me to post in this blog. I was really shocked by what he said... I thought he was drunk! Lol.. Its nothing serious though..

Alright! Shall stop being so naggy.. though i think it is fun to talk about my day.. especially one that is so fun! =)

I feel so cheated! Well, a very renowned tv station came over to my school for some interview and it will be broadcasted to over 130 000 people ya.. Guess what? Was called for an interview (as mentioned in the earlier post), then i was chosen (surprisingly). Received call today before chem lecture to tell me to go on the set! So i just went , unwillingly. Alright, was waiting to be interviewed at the tracks near the ultra cool statue that i shall not name. In the end, i was finally called. They ask me to sit down beside two student leaders and pretend to be talking to my friend beside me.. That was what i did! THE ONLY THING THAT I DID! I was actually used as the backdrop! OMG!!!!!!!!!! I wanted to publicise the LEP thingy to people who are watching the show! Sigh.. Alright, wanna thank my teacher for having so much faith in me and thus, choosing me! Haha.. He called me just now when i got home and he asked me to go for another interview. Actually, i dun think im free! i guess i will just go and see what happens! Can gain experience ya! Haha.. =) (Lol..)
okie.. my fren sms-ed me sth really scary.. i thought he was going to commit suicide cos of the maths test. wanted to rush back to school until he assured me that he will be alright.. phew!!!!! Please, dun scare me like this! Anyway, was really glad that he actually told me about his problem and how he is feeling. Haha.. The title of this post shall be ~My hilarious day~

Firstly, i went to school super early and i reached at around 6.50am! This is crazy! Well, i had to meet my friend cos he says he can help me with my gefang badge! Really nice of him.. Guess what? He was late! Lol.. (IT IS SO SURPRISING THAT HE IS ACTUALLY LATE! I WAS RUNNING TO SCHOOL LIKE MAD THINKING THAT HE WILL ALREADY BE THERE!) But he had a reason and that is to help me print out sth.. So i shall not blame him! Anyway, met him at the fishtank. Then we started discussing abt the designs and stuff! He is so super pro la! Life is so unfair! Anyway, he promised to help me with the new designs AGAIN! Yay! Thanks JJ (aka Axl)! Haha.. Promised to treat him when the badge is done ya! =) I Must!!!!!!!!! Thanks again!

Next thing, during the entrepreneurship challenge.. Oops! I fell asleep in the end! Saya tabuleh tahan! Used some time to read lao she's book too! Yay! Trying to be a nerd.. but i guess its quite hard! Nvm! Will try my best! Lol.. Anyway, got my fac shirt too! Not bad! Quite nice.. except the color! i think the red shirt is the nicest! Haha.. I'm not a traitor! Just trying to be honest to myself! =)

After the thingy, had to go find a sl teacher. Haha.. she sms-ed me when i was at the talk yea! Ultra funny! Then i didnt know whether i should reply cos if i do, she will know that im sms-ing during talks! (i didnt reply her in the end! must be guai and law abiding!) *angelic smile*

Then, i have to interview people from my cca (gefang) cos im the vice president ya! It is ultra fun to question others and make them sing! Haha.. But im glad to see that many memebers are actually quite committed to the cca! Thanks a lot! I Love Gefang! =)

After that, had to rush for another meeting which happens to be next door! What a coincidence! Its quite embarassing cos im late for the meeting even though im in exco! *blushes* I'm simply too busy ok! 2 ccas then 2 posts. class treasurer, proj heartware leader, person-in-charge of sc handbells alumni. Man.. then next, there is sth else coming up for me.. i think i might just collapse one day! Must be strong!!!!!!!!

During the hnf meeting, i received an sms from my cll teacher which reads "(translated to eng) Please see the hod of the mothertongue department immediately, This is her contact number (blah blah..)" I was ultra shocked! I thought there might be some errors with my test scripts ya! So i called her asap! Guess what? She told me to go and find her! Well, when i was walking there, i saw kw! He told me what was happening.. " The chinese teachers are choosing a gal for a tv interview. They say they want pretty girls and since they called you, that means you are pretty!" Then he patted me on my shoulder and wished me luck.. Lol! So animated! anyway, i was really shocked! I walked into the wrong office!!!!!!!!! *throws face* Then my cll teacher saw me n they just knew that i was being chosen.. Then mr ong started wishing me good luck! I was so scared la.. they started joking with me about where the mother tongue department is at! So funny (though childish)! Haha..

Anw, walking into the mothertongue department was scary! It is newly renovated so it seems very unfamiliar to me. Then the teacher wanted to pass me a script to read.. Luckily she didnt.. I WASNT EVEN PREPARED! well, she told my clh1 teacher to take pics of me. then the memory card was full! Phew! Guess what? The resourceful teachers went to borrow from pa/ava! Clever! In the end, had to be interviewed and had to pose for pics! Cos they say they need to show the principal! Apparently, there are many other pple who were chosen! By the way, i wanna thank the teachers for thinking so highly of me.. Cos my clh1 teacher was saying that im sweet looking and i have big eyes. Then after taking the pics right, he said that i have a nice smile! So nice of him! haha.. Makes me really happy~ =)

oh after that right, it was such a coincidence cos i met zk near my class bench! Then we started walking to the canteen.. Cos i need to wait for my mum to come and fetch me! So funny! He kept his promise and treated me to a cup of milk tea! Anyway, we started talking (in fact, its gossiping)! Haha.. so funny! we were talking abt this couple that we know and they happened to walk pass us! Ultra lame! By the way, i realised that zk knows a lot of people! So popular! Anw, Quite sad though.. didnt have much time to talk cos i have to go for my violin lessons! =S

Later, I went shopping.. Sort of like reatail therapy. Then i went to try 2 tops. But both are too big and everything will show when i bend my body ya.. Then i bet my gor will start scolding me for wearing things like that so i didnt get them in the end! Im such a nice sis! Cant help it la.. Okie! need to do other stuff now! Hey! I shall tell you all what i did yesterday.. busy day...
firstly, i woke up at 8am.. Then i waited for my gor to come over n my mum sent us to newton mrt station. Then we took the train to somerset. We went to kbox at cineleisure to meet our friends.
well, i had to walk over to specialist centre after that for eye appt! Got a new pair of lenses.. Finally! Cos i had to wait for it to be imported to spore!
walked back to kbox again after eye appt.. Started singing with my lousy voice.. enjoyed myself though.. so fun! i realised i like beatles etc! all those oldires like "let it be" and 'dancing queen"! Haha.. Life is but a JOY!

Anyway, i left orchard and went to bt panjang after that. I cant tahan orchard ya.. Haha.. Bt panjang plaza is such a nice place to shop at! Well, at least i got what i wanted! Gor n i shopped till quite late ya.. We wanted to go home already (my mum was asking me where i was at) until...

WE SAW A PASAR MALAM!

oh man!!!!! In the end, i went home at around 10.20pm. Being very sweet, gor sent me home to my doorstep! Yay! Thnks! =)

Luckily both of us were not scolded by our mums! Phew.. What a day! =p
